This past weekend has been a really busy one in the South, there’s just been so many events to choose from.
As mentioned in my update post our big project from last year was the Invercargill City Council’s 2015 calendar.
Despite the early hour of the day, I couldn’t help but pull over to capture this scene when passing Invercargill’s watertower on the way home from an unsuccessful Aurora chase.
I was so pleased with the results I figured it was worthy of sharing with you all.

We’ve been refocusing our brand recently (more on that in the next post later today) and came across this image from January last year. Figured it was worthy of a ‘blast from the past’ post. Enjoy!

The long weekend break over Easter allowed Layton a bit of time to get out on a couple of walkabouts. These pictures were a couple of his favourites from these outings and were included in his 365 Challenge as Extras this week.

There’s something quite mesmerising about a fire – but not when it is on a path of destruction!
On the way to work a couple of days ago I came across a fully involved house fire, something I’ve only ever seen once in my life (thankfully). When I passed the scene the fire crews had not long turned up and even at that stage it was easy to see someone’s life had just been shattered. Continue reading
